Those on Town Planning and Spatial Planning (Town Planning Council) (Modifiers) Regulations of 2003, who
were issued by the Council of Ministers in accordance with art 4, of the Town Planning and Spatial Planning Law, after
were submitted to the House of Representatives and approved by it, are published in its Official Gazette
Republic according to the paragraph (3) of the article 3 on Submission to the House of Representatives of
Regulations issued with the authorization of the Law, Law (N. 99 of 1989 as amended by N. 227 of
1990).

The Council of Ministers, exercising the powers conferred on him by art 4 of about
City Planning and Spatial Planning Law, issues the following Regulations

1. These Regulations will be referred to as those on Town Planning and Spatial Planning
(Town Planning Council) (Modifiers) Regulations of 2003 and will be read together
with those on Town Planning and Spatial Planning (Town Planning Council) Regulations of
1973 (hereinafter referred to as "the basic regulations") and the basics
regulations and these Regulations will be referred to together as the Town Planning Regulations and
Spatial planning (Town Planning Council) Regulations of 1973 and 2003.

2. The Regulation 5 of the basic regulations is replaced by the following Regulation: Replacement
of the Regulation 5
of the basics
regulations.
5. The Council consists of the following thirteen members appointed by the
Cabinet:
(a) Four persons of known prestige and reliability, with subject knowledge
urban planning, zoning, environment and development, which are appointed after
proposal of the Minister.
(b) The President of the Union of Prisoners of Cyprus or a representative
(c) The President of the Union of Cyprus Communities or his elected representative
members of the Union.
(d) The President of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus, or his representative
from among the elected members of the Chamber.
(e) The General Managers, or their representative, of the Ministries:
– Interior
– Georgia, Natural Resources and Environment-
– of Transport and Works;
– Trade, Industry and Tourism.
(f) The General Director of the Planning Office or his representative.
(g) The Director of the Department of Urban Planning and Housing or his representative:
Composition
Council
It is understood that the existing, upon the entry into force of the Urban Planning and
Spatial planning (Town Planning Council) (Amendments) Regulations of 2003
Council, it can also be completed during his term with the three new ones
sub (b), (c) and (d) above members whose term of office will expire at the same time as the term
of the Council.

3. The Regulation 10 of the basic regulations is amended by replacing it
paragraph (2) with the following paragraph:
«(2) The Council is in a quorum, if at least seven members are present
of.".
